Jeff’s Sees 43% Growth in Annual Sales and Charitable Giving in 2021

Longmeadow, MA – February 6, 2022 – Jeff’s Granola announced that despite the pandemic sales increased by over 43% in 2021, generating much-needed charitable donations.  Jeff’s Granola is a philanthropic business that donates 100% of profits to charity. Sales increased from $183,000 in 2020 to $262,000 in 2021, and the resulting donations increased from $18,000 in 2020 to $26,000 in 2021.

Building on a five-year cross-sector partnership with River Valley Coop and the United Way of Hampshire County, Jeff’s Granola donated profits from sales at River Valley Coop stores to the United Way of Hampshire County. The profits increased from $1,338 in 2020 to $1,630 in 2021. River Valley Coop is a community-owned grocery coop with stores in Northampton and Easthampton, MA.  The donation was celebrated with a check presentation ceremony on Monday January 17th at the River Valley Coop in Easthampton.

Commenting on the three-way partnership, Nate McApline, Grocery Manager at River Valley Coop stated“We love Jeff's Granola at the co-op! Jeff’s Granola is a fantastic example of everyone working together and giving back to the community. It has been an honor seeing Jeff's Granola grow every year, and we look forward to continuing our wonderful partnership with a local business that shares our values.”

Jeff Greim, CEO and Founder of Jeff’s Granola, said, “I appreciate very much the ongoing partnership between River Valley Coop, United Way of Hampshire County and Jeff’s Granola.  And I really want to thank the customers who buy Jeff’s Granola that generate the profits that allow us to make the donations.   Without your ongoing support none of the donations would be possible.”

And John Bidwell, United Way Executive Director, stated “It is an amazing partnership between the United Way of Hampshire County, River Valley Coop and Jeff’s Granola.  As the River Valley Coop grows and Jeff’s Granola grows it allows for a greater investment of profits in the community and so everyone benefits.  And we are very grateful.”

Also, beginning in January 2022, Jeff’s Granola became a vendor for The Daily Table, that has three stores in the Boston area.  The Daily Table, founded in 2012 by Doug Rauch, is a “nonprofit grocery chain dedicated to providing fresh, tasty, convenient and nutritious food to communities most in need at prices everyone can afford.  It believes that delicious and wholesome food should be available to all.”  Jeff’s Granola is very proud of this new partnership and looks forward to it growing in the years to come.
